Honor Stephenson is a research-led interdisciplinary visual artist, mother and educator. Her work evocates a reverence for light and connection, and looks to the quiet potency of art as a therapeutic practice. Honor works in-situ and studio, in relationship and exploration with material, environmental and emotional tactility. Honor has a passion for neurodiversity and empowering artists in their creative practice.She has worked with children through to adults in various educational settings over two decades. Her ancestry is not fully known due to grandparental adoption, but she has family ties to Otepoti, Scotland, England and the Qutekcak Tribe. Her current work focuses on foetal microchimerism and identity and explores ways to bring scientific concepts to life through visual narrative.
