Caitlin Rose Donnelly
Caitlin Rose Donnelly (Kāi Tahu, Kāti Irakehu, Kāti Mako ki Wairewa, Pākehā) is an emerging curatorial based artist in rural Southland with her husband and two children. Her practice explores her identity as Māori, an adoptee, a mother, and wahine. The whakataukī: Ka mua, ka muri; We must look to the past to inform the future, is central to her whakaaro and mahi toi. Caitlin holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Dunedin School of Art and has guided Kia Ora Whaea through three iterations across Aotearoa. She is a trustee and holds contracts with Paemanu, Ngāi Tahu Contemporary Visual Arts, Charitable Trust and a board member for the Blue Oyster Art Project Space.
